About Infectious Laryngotracheitis

Infectious laryngotracheitis (ILT) is an acute viral infection of the respiratory tract of chickens that is found in all parts of the world where poultry are intensively raised. ILT is highly transmissible and can quickly infect entire flocks. ILT is a major threat to poultry producers, as the disease is likely to cause a drop in egg production. It is characterized by severe breathing difficulties, coughing and gasping, blood spitting and increased mortality for chickens.

Because there are no treatments for ILT, preventing an outbreak by vaccination is essential.

Innovax®-ILT is a single-shot vaccine that provides long-term protection against ILT and Marek’s disease. It removes or reduces the need for transmissible live vaccines, and it allows vaccination to occur right in the hatchery – ultimately decreasing the labor needed and mitigating the risk of post-vaccinal reactions.

Innovax-ILT-IBD is a dual HVT construct vaccine made with biotechnology that protects against ILT, Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD), and Marek’s disease in one single dose.
