MSD Animal Health and Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) Reward 34 Veterinary Students from across Europe for Scholarship Program

Rahway, NJ, January 23, 2025 – MSD Animal Health, a division of Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, N.J., USA (NYSE: MRK) and the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe are honored to announce that 34 veterinary students across the European Region have been awarded the 2024 MSD Animal Health & FVE Veterinary Student Scholarship Program.

The Scholarships for students enrolled in the 3rd-4th-5th year of study allow them to enhance their academic experience and eventually start their careers.

The Review Committee selected 34 students out of the highest number of applications ever received with more than 360 applications in total. The students are currently enrolled in 34 veterinary faculties from 22 countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom

For FVE, this year has been another remarkable success, with a significant number of student applications, highlighting the importance and impact of this grant. MSD Animal Health’s collaboration and commitment have been instrumental in running this important initiative. The promotion of the grant was possible through the invaluable support of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE), where the dissemination and selection of the winners was supported by International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA).
